Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Northpond Ventures, LLC (“Northpond” or the “Firm”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the website at https://www.npv.vc/ and any other website or digital property that the Firm owns or controls and that links to this Cookie Policy (collectively, the “Sites”).

This Cookie Policy should be read together with the Firm’s Privacy Policy at https://www.npv.vc/privacy-policy/, which describes how the Firm handles personal information more generally, including the rights of California residents and users in other jurisdictions.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies serve different purposes — for example, they help website operators understand how a site is being used, allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, remember your preferences, and generally improve your browsing experience.

The Firm uses the following technologies on the Sites:

  • Cookies. Small text files placed on your device. The Firm uses both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them), and may use both first-party cookies (set by the Firm) and third-party cookies (set by service providers on the Firm’s behalf).
  • Browser web storage and local storage objects (LSOs). Including HTML5 local storage. These technologies provide cookie-equivalent functionality but can store larger amounts of data on your device outside of your browser.
  • Web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs). Small electronic files embedded invisibly on web pages or within HTML-formatted emails. The Firm may use them to demonstrate that a webpage was accessed or that certain content was viewed, and to measure engagement with the Firm’s communications.
  • Server logs. Files automatically created when a user visits the Sites, recording technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.

Why Northpond uses these technologies

The Firm currently uses cookies only for essential purposes — specifically, to remember your cookie consent preferences so that the consent banner does not reappear on every visit. The Firm does not currently use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

If the Firm begins to use cookies for additional purposes (such as analytics) in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated and consent will be obtained where required by applicable law before any such cookies are placed on your device.

Cookies and similar technologies in use

The table below lists the cookies currently in use on the Sites. This inventory is maintained and updated automatically through the Firm’s consent management platform (Cookiebot), which scans the Sites regularly to detect any new cookies or trackers.

Consent management

The Firm uses Cookiebot, a consent management platform provided by Cybot A/S (a Usercentrics company), to manage cookie consent on the Sites. Cookiebot displays a cookie banner when you first visit the Sites, records your consent preferences, and gates the firing of any non-essential cookies based on those preferences.

You can change your preferences at any time by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer of any page on the Sites.

Your choices

You have several ways to control the use of cookies and similar technologies on the Sites:

Cookie banner. When you first visit the Sites, you will see a banner generated by Cookiebot that allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer of any page on the Sites.

Browser settings. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. Please note that if you set your browser to disable cookies, the Sites may not work properly.

Do Not Track signals. Some browsers can be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals. The Firm currently does not respond to Do Not Track signals. To learn more, visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.

More information. For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, visit https://www.allaboutcookies.org.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding the personal information collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the right to know, the right to access, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As noted above, the Firm does not currently use cookies or similar technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising and has no “sharing” of personal information of California residents to disclose.

For more information about how to exercise your California rights, please see the Notice to California residents in the Firm’s Privacy Policy at https://www.npv.vc/privacy-policy/.

Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the Firm will obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer of any page on the Sites or by clearing cookies through your browser settings.

Please see the Firm’s Privacy Policy for more information about how the Firm transfers personal information internationally and your rights as a data subject under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Changes to this Cookie Policy

Information about the cookies and similar technologies the Firm uses may be updated from time to time. The Firm will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this Cookie Policy. The Firm encourages you to check back periodically for any changes. Material changes will be communicated through the Sites or by other appropriate means.
